1. About us

Company Reporter is operated by Litigo Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number pending registration confirmation), with registered office at [Registered Address]. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms mean Litigo Limited. References to “you” mean the individual or entity accessing or using Company Reporter.

You can contact us at hello@companyreporter.ai.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Company Reporter (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. The Service

Company Reporter provides AI-assisted due diligence reports on UK-registered companies using publicly available data from Companies House and other lawfully accessible sources. Reports are generated automatically and are intended for informational purposes only.

We offer a free tier and a paid subscription (“Pro”). Features available under each tier are set out on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

4. Not professional advice

Nothing produced by Company Reporter constitutes legal, financial, tax, investment, or professional advice of any kind. Reports are generated using AI and publicly available data. They may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You should always verify material facts independently and consult a qualified professional before making any decision based on information obtained through the Service.

We expressly disclaim any liability for decisions made in reliance on Company Reporter output.

5. Accounts and security

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@companyreporter.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable unless you hold an organisational subscription that expressly permits multiple users.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law;
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute reports or API access without our written consent;
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service beyond what is permitted by your subscription tier;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
  • Use the Service to generate content intended to harass, defame, or harm any individual or organisation;
  • Circumvent any technical measures we use to enforce tier limits or access controls;
  • Use automated means (bots, scripts) to query the Service in a manner that exceeds normal usage patterns or impairs our infrastructure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and underlying systems, is owned by Litigo Limited and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

Report output generated for your use is licensed to you for your own internal business purposes. You may not republish, sell, or represent AI-generated reports as independently researched analysis without clearly attributing them to Company Reporter.

9. Third-party data

Reports are based in part on data sourced from Companies House and other public registries. This data is provided under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of third-party data and are not responsible for errors originating from those sources.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Litigo Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will endeavour to give reasonable notice of material changes to paying subscribers. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification or discontinuation of the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
